Team Collaboration
GenPy lets your team build one visual novel project together.
What collaboration is
- Share a single project with writers, editors, producers, and reviewers.
- Keep story files, notes, images, and audio in one shared space.
- Work together without sending project folders back and forth.
INFO
Team collaboration is best for shared online projects. If you mainly work solo, you can still create, preview, and export projects normally on your own.
How to invite members
- Create a new project or open an existing one.
- Go to Settings.
- Open Team.
- Select Invite members.
- Share the invite link, or send an email invitation.
- Ask each teammate to join with the role you want them to have.
Roles
Owner
- Full control over the project
- Manages team members and access
- Handles billing and plan changes
Editor
- Can edit all project files
- Can use AI tools inside the shared project
- Can build scenes, dialogue, and branches with the team
Viewer
- Read-only access
- Can review project content safely
- Can leave comments without changing files
What your team can do together
- Edit different files at the same time
- Share project resources such as images and audio
- Use the AI assistant inside the shared project
- Review scenes, dialogue, and branching structure together
TIP
Assign clear roles before a writing session. It helps everyone know who is drafting, reviewing, or approving each part of the story.
Tips for smoother teamwork
- Use the outline panel to coordinate who owns each scene or chapter.
- Agree on naming for labels, characters, and routes early.
- Keep shared placeholder assets in the project so everyone previews the same content.
- Ask viewers to comment on pacing, tone, and choice flow before final export.
Strong collaboration starts with a shared plan. Once your team is aligned, GenPy helps everyone stay in the same story world.
